The VIMS TRI program provides summer research experience for K-12 classroom teachers. Through this program, two teachers are embedded in a research group at VIMS where they spend two weeks learning from the scientists and engaging in field and/or lab research activities.
During the TRI, the teachers collaborate to develop educational materials, such as a collection of lesson or an ArcGIS StoryMap, based on the project research. After testing in their own classrooms, these materials are made available on this site for educators everywhere to use.
